An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until August 18, 2020
Join Open Space Arts and June Farms for classes taught by artist and educator Kathy Kearsey. Different techniques are featured each of the 3 dates for each age group; sign up for as many classes as you’d like.
These mixed media drawing and painting classes are designed to teach students to see with an artistic eye. They are encouraged to experiment, express images they choose, and explore any style they wish; individualized help within the small group of 12 allows everyone to work at their own level. Color, form, composition, perspective and fun techniques with pastels, paint, pencils and markers will be emphasized.
Parents or caregivers are asked to remain on the farm during class. Ticket includes all materials and participant’s admission to the farm. Parents and any accompanying guests can pay their $5 farm admission at the Snack Bar upon arrival. After signing children in under the tent, parents or caregivers may relax in the Pony Barn or take solitude with a farm walk or run (showers are available, BYO towel). Keep in mind the farm opens at 11 am.
BYO apron or old shirt to paint in or wear appropriate clothing. The instructor will wear a mask and social distance seating is planned.
The Snack Bar is also open from 11 am to 4 pm to enjoy a refreshment. See our Snack Bar menu. We also sell treats you can feed to our animals!
